And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42

The Word of God has always been and continues to be the basis of our day-to-day living.  In Acts 2:42-47, we get a great picture of the early church and the components of the early biblical community, which encompassed both, ‘in the temple’ and ‘house to house’.

Currently, TBOLF runs multiple care cell groups across the city.  These groups consist of persons belonging to one geographical location, who meet once a week, for about 90 minutes, to encourage each other with the Word of God, care for the needs of one another, and relate with each other on an intimate, personal level.

Each Care Cell, while being a small unit of the church, is a family by itself. While caring and sharing with each other, they also partake in the joys and in the heartaches of each other. They also equip themselves with the Word of God, through an interactive and immersive study, emphasising on the application of the learnt lesson in their day-to-day living.

Care Cell leaders, all of whom are mature born-again believers with the heart of a shepherd, meet once a month with the TBOLF leadership for a time of Bible study, prayer and administrative discourse, before the chosen study is pursued in individual cells.

The Care Cell Ministry has served to develop relational Christianity within the church, while also developing a pool of new, committed leaders.

The key verses that underpin the ethos of the Care Cell Ministry are Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Matthew 18:20, and Proverbs 27:17, in addition to Acts 2:42-47.
